Energy Master Pro

About Us

Energy Master Pro was founded in 2005 by Nelson Jessup, a former school administrator with over 35 years experience in public education. The software was developed for the purpose of tracking energy costs and consumption in order to assist school systems with quantifying their savings resulting from energy consulting/management programs. EMP is currently being used in 13 school systems and one community college.

Nelson served as a teacher and administrator and then as an associate superintendent for operations and twice as interim superintendent in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. He has also served as Interim Superintendent in Stokes County, NC school system on two different occasions. His knowledge and experience include implementing and managing an energy saving program for WS/FCS (saving $2.7 million or an average over 15% a year from 1992 to 1996) and, since Energy Master Pro was launched, numerous successful projects for other districts ranging in size from 2,000 to over 20,000 students.

Nelson is also the founder of EduCon, an energy consulting/management company.
